Au bois d'Amourette
Craft professionals for 25 years, we have been in Salers, in an exhibition-sale room, since 1999. We show the different products from our highly skilled workshops. We work an original sale concept that sells objects, sculptures, paintings, jewellery directly from our studios...without intermediaries. To perpetuate our profession we offer free entry and a warm welcome. Discover the difference.
Show moreHigh valley of the Dordogne
It eventually joins La Garonne river and forms La Gironde estuary after a course of 483 km. Its bed takes it West of the Cantal, winding its way through wild gorge and woodland with scattered rocks here and there : Rocher de Chabane near Arches, Rocher de l'Aigle near Chalvignac. The flow of the Dordogne is halted by a few dams, such as Barrage de l'Aigle. The scenery is breathtaking with a wealth of wild flowers and animals and a wide variety of birds such as red kite, black kite, peregrine falcon, booted eagle and buzzard.

Show moreLoupiac
On the right bank of the Maronne, the 15th century Château de Branzac (or Varanzac, Vranzac) overlooks the valley. It is made up of two large round towers and a rectangular Renaissance-style main building with mullioned windows and a polygonal staircase tower. The complex is surrounded by walls flanked by towers to protect the plateau side, the other side being more difficult to access due to the steep slopes of the Maronne. To save it from oblivion, a new buyer has undertaken to clear and consolidate the ruins. The church at Loupiac offers a beautiful view of the mountains.
