On the right bank of the Maronne, the 15th century Château de Branzac (or Varanzac, Vranzac) overlooks the valley. It is made up of two large round towers and a rectangular Renaissance-style main building with mullioned windows and a polygonal staircase tower. The complex is surrounded by walls flanked by towers to protect the plateau side, the other side being more difficult to access due to the steep slopes of the Maronne. To save it from oblivion, a new buyer has undertaken to clear and consolidate the ruins. The church at Loupiac offers a beautiful view of the mountains.
