Notre-Dame-des-Miracles basilica

In 1921, Pope Benoit 15th gave the church the rare and highly regarded title of minor basilica, which confers major importance over any other churches in the diocese, cathedral excepted. It features an exceptional west door with a unique tympanum, and the chevet on the eastern side is the oldest part. To the right hand side of the southern door, you notice the “Lantern to the dead” which is from the 13thc., and was placed there in the last century.
