Tannery and Leather Museum

Description

Discover the tanner's trade and all the stages involved in transforming raw hide into finished leather.

Guided tour of the old Bortoise tanneries, with explanations of the various machines (fuller, slitter, press...) and the many different types of tanning (full grain, crust, nubuck, suede...). A video illustrates the hard work of tanners. Store area with a wide range of leather goods.
