Our castles

"There are no fewer than nine castles open to visitors in the Pays de Salers, situated on "the Castles Road in Auvergne". Beautiful and big buildings with roofs covered with lauzes (volcanic stone), still furnished and most of the time still occupied  by the descendants of the original builders. They give you a lively account of the rich and eventful past in the Cantal and Xaintrie regions. Guided visits, concerts, exhibitions, plays: a moment out of time for young and old alike."
