Description

This traditional Auriac house is a place of tranquillity. Entirely and tastefully renovated, the modernity and quality of its fittings make the Maison des Jardins a refuge in perfect harmony with the Sothys spirit.

The story of a family: between Corrèze and Cantal, in a picturesque village in the Dordogne gorges, you are invited to stay in a typical house built from the local stone with a traditional slate roof, the ancestral home of the Mas family for over 150 years, and fully restored in 2014.
The source of luxury, this house is idyllic for nature lovers and an ideal place to get together amongst friends or family. The courtyard and garden open onto the kitchen garden and herbal tea room of the ‘Jardins Sothys’.
The source of luxury with Sothys: at the gateway to the Cantal, this local stone house, home to the same family for over 150 years, invites you to recharge your batteries in the bucolic setting of the small village of Auriac. Once through the door, you'll already feel the ambience of calm that reigns. This is to be expected, throughout your stay you will be in the world of Sothys. Starting with the house itself, which has all the modern comforts but with antique furniture.
The must? A private bathroom in every room. The outside will not to be outdone either, with a pergola for basking in the sun or simply taking the time to enjoy the peace and quiet. And to awaken your senses, what could be better than a stroll through the Sothys gardens themselves? They are just a stone's throw from your cosy nest. They will take you on a voyage, from the Japanese gardens to formal French gardens, not to forget a hint of Egypt... You'll discover all the secrets of the plants used in cosmetics. Continue along this gentle path, take a break at the gastronomic restaurant in the gardens, where you can enjoy refined cuisine in the enchanting setting of an old renovated barn, open to the great outdoors. Then take a leisurely stroll along the banks of the Auriac lake, just opposite. And if it's hot, don't hesitate to go for a dip! The surrounding countryside is yours to explore, with its breath-taking views of the Monts d'Auvergne. Take the opportunity to visit Salers in the Cantal region, listed as one of the "Most Beautiful Villages in France", or Argentat, further south, for a picturesque and relaxing stroll through the Dordogne Valley.
